Catching up

Today is a good day for catching up; I don't get to post on here as often as I'd like. When one computer is shared by two people, sometimes one person has to wait. After all, it's kind of hard to do your job well on two hours sleep. So I sleep instead of post. How selfish of me!

Today was a beautiful day. Sunny, warm, and tomorrow promises to be even better. I slept, a lot. Woke up a couple of times, but despite getting an average of 7-8 hours sleep a day, I slept 12 hours from 130a last night to 1p today. Then took a nap from 6-7!

Talked to a good friend today by phone; she felt like she'd been a negligent friend for not communicating by email/telephone. However, said friend lives in the daytime world and has a teen ager, so I really didn't feel neglected by her. After all, it takes two to communicate, and sometimes, I can be very uncommunicative when the mood strikes.

Thanks to the vagarities of the work schedule, have a three day weekend, so a little time to get some (gasp!) housework done. Just a little straightening up here and there, maybe some vaccuming.

For now, life is good.

Is it Spring yet?

It seemed a bit like it today. The sun was shining and the air was still crisp, but it was in the 40s today. I cracked open the back part of the sunroof, cranked up Dire Straights Walk of Life on the radio, and actually drove to work with a smile on my face. Scared the crap out of everyone!

But, it's nice to see the sun and warmer temperatures. It makes one a little more willing to go to work.

a lazy sunday

Actually, for me, I got to bed and sleep at a decent hour, 230AM. Which is decent when one considers my days off usually happen on Sunday/Monday or Sat/Sun. Thanks to the vagarities of the schedule, I am only off Sunday, then have a three day weekend next week.

Anyway, I slept 12 full hours, and the furbabaies were very gracious in not poking me and prodding me to wake up and feed them at 1130 (their normal meal time). When I did finally wake up, the bowls were devoid of ANY leftover kibble, and they were literally dancing in anticipation.

The bronchitis is improving; the $$$ meds help, and DH didn't have any kittens (darn it, I was hoping to add a couple to the household) about the price because it went on the CC instead of the checking account. I'm waiting for the claim forms to be sent from the insurance company for a reimbursement.

So, I am catching up on five days worth of email, posts, and news, as DH was a little bit of a computer hog the last few days, and if I can't get online before 130AM, there's no sense in going online.

It's sunny today, and in the 40's, and the cats have been following the sun from window to window, enjoying the sunbeams warmth.

Makes one feel like Spring may arrive soon.
