thursday

HHMMMM. I see that the blog has another cat person. Great to know! We felines aren't THAT independent. Their blog is called Kat's Blog. Cute.

This was a wet, dreary Thursday, even though the temperature was up to 60 when I left work. Nothing had really changed work-wise. Calls and calls and more calls.

Watching the NBC thing about the Princess Diana tapes, but really nothing new that hasn't already come out from time to time. The only difference is that you're hearing her voice and not reading a book

back to work tomorrow

Well, this is the last day of my small vacation from work; three regularly scheduled off days and two floaters. Sometimes you just need a respite.

Didn't spend a lot of time relaxing; had some appointments to make and some projects to complete. Got most everything done except for getting my closet cleaned up. There's still this evening, though!

The taxes are done and ready to mail off. We don't owe the feds or the state, which is always a good thing.

Today was more like winter. It only got up to 50 degrees, was cloudy, and there is a threat of a rain shower later this week. As if that's not bad enough, Moms Nature may send a little rain/snow our way this weekend, just to remind us that Spring hasn't yet started! Man! She's one mean Momma!

So a three day workweek doesn't sound too bad, with two days off to follow. Might even learn something new about the contract negotions.

a "taxing" day

Working on our taxes, just checking all my previous figures, so that everything is correct and can send them out this week. If my calculations are correct, we don't owe, and that's a good thing!

DH watched the Oscars last night, while I watched 'Rules of Engagment' with Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L Jackson in the other room. Quite a fascinating movie, and really enjoyable.

DH and I slept in a little; I plan to get a couple of loads of laundry done, and got the master VHS/DVD cabinets cleaned up again.

I'm still trying to learn how to dub from VHS to the DVD Recorder; but will get there eventually. That will help a lot.

Sunny Sunday

Today is a gorgeous day, for the 29th of february. The sun is out, it's over 60 degrees outside, and I have windows open to let fresh air into the house!

I went out for awhile on errands, had the sunroof ajar and playing KISS on the CD player. What a great day to cruise! All I needed was a motorcycle instead of a car and the day would've been purrfect!

Touched base with another good friend today; she wasn't feeling good due to having had surgery this past week, so I cut the visit short, as she wasn't feeling real good and I had pulled the "in the neighborhood and just thought I'd drop in" thing. At least she finally got her Christmas presents!

Poor Dude, one of our cats, really wanted to go outside and eat grass and rub his back into the dirt; but I didn't let him. He's an indoor kitty, and one never knows what kind of bugs and things are out there waiting for a kitty
